Late last year my lovely sister bought me this brilliant vintage 1960's radio (thank you Georgia) . It has a classic style and beautiful features. You can almost hear the sound of Martha and the Vandella's blasting out of the worn speakers. Although it has a few cracks here and there I still love it and only wish that it would actually work. The amazing detail on the small tuning screen really proves the quality to which we used to make our products.
My love of old radio's may stem from my love of old music, especially the sixties. My favourites include Martha and the Vandella's, The Beatles and of course The Kinks. But listening to them on my ipod doesn't have quite make me feel like I am in the sixties, so I am in the process of searching for a record player and there original vinyl records. There is nothing better than the short crackle at the start of each record a sound that you cannot get whilst listening on your ipod nano.
